A PS3 is not that important

I find the recent events resulting from the release of the PS3 quite disturbing. I find it sad to see so many desparate people risk life to get a hold of one to sell on eBay. My wife and I watched the number of PS3 items on eBay increase by at least 50 items a minute. I am sitting here watching the news and the number of reports of shootings, robberies, assaults and can only hope for a better future for some of these people. I want to blame Sony for such a limited number for release, but the truth is there is no one to blame but ourselves. I hate to sound preachy about these things, but shame on all of the people BUYING PS3's for $2000, or in some cases, $20,000. If no one was willing to pay that much, they wouldn't be worth that much, and people wouldn't be as desparate to sell them.
